The original Pinky & Pepper Forever, which appears to be out of print, was hailed by critics when it was first published in 2018 (see “Silver Sprocket 2018 Releases”); it was nominated for the Outstanding Artist Ignatz Award. The comic was loosely inspired by Pinkie Cooper and the Jet Sets, a line of anthropomorphized canine fashion dolls designed by Bratz creator Carter Bryant and released in 2013. Atoms’ Pinky and Pepper are puppygirls in love, and when Pinky dies while doing a performance art piece, Pepper follows her to Hell and discovers that the underworld suits her girlfriend very well.
